An insect crawls around rectangular plates for 1 time = 30 + 20 = 50cm

It means it covers 50cm distance at first round.

when it travels 10 times on rectangular plate = 50 × 10 = 500cm = 5 meter

Total distance traveled by it is 500cm or 5 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of the rectangular plate = 30 cm

Breadth of the rectangular plate = 20 cm

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

= 2(30+20)

= 2×50

= 100 cm

Now,

Total distance travelled by insect = 10 times perimeter.

So,

Total distance travelled = 10×100

= 1000 cm

= 10 m
