an insect is sitting in front of a plane mirror at a distance of 2 cm from it .find where is the image of the insect formed and calculate the distance between the insect and its image​

  • The image will be formed behind the mirror which will be real, virtual and of the same size as the object.

  • Since the insect is sitting 1m away from the mirror so it's image will be formed 1m away from the mirror on the other side.

  • Therefore the distance between the insect and it's image is 2m.
