Answer:

cylindrical glass of radius 7cm

=> circumference of Cylindrical Glass = 2 π R

π = 22/7   , R = 7 cm

=> circumference of Cylindrical Glass =  2 * (22/7) * 7

= 44 cm

Height = 8 cm

Distance travelled by insect = √( (circumference)² + ( Height)²)4

= √( ( 44)² + 8²)

= √ 1936 + 64

= √2000

= 20√5 cm

= 44.72 cm

The total distance travelled by the insect is 20√5 cm = 44.72 cm
