An integer is chosen at random between 1 and 100. Find the probability that it is divisible by 8. Please give the correct answer as per the board answer key as there is a lot of confusion with the total number of outcomes being 100 or 98. Can an expert answer it please? Because I have asked this question bout 10+ times and I'm getting mixed responses.

There are two answers for this question.
If its a school level question, then they probably don't care about the 'between' thing and total outcomes will be 100
The last number divisible by 8 in both cases will be 96, which is 8*12. So number of favourable outcomes will be 12
So P(E) = 12/100
=0.12
If its a competitive exam level question, like NTSE, then the 'between' matters, and it means that 1 and 100 is not included in the total outcomes, so the total outcomes = 98
P(E) = 12/98
=6/49
