600/79 days will be taken to finish the task if all of them work together.

An intern can do a job in 15 days. The manager and senior manager are busy with other priorities and thus take 25 and 40 days respectively to complete the task.

We have to find the time taken to complete the task if all of them work together.

∵ An intern can do a piece of work = 15 days

∴ The intern can do work in a day = 1/15 part

Similarly,

Manager can do the same work = 25 days

∴ he can do work in a day = 1/25 part

Senior manager can do the same work = 40 days

∴ he can do work in a day = 1/40

if all of them work together, then work is to be done in a day = 1/15 + 1/25 + 1/40

= 40/600 + 24/600 + 15/600

= (40 + 24 + 15)/600

= 79/600

∴ the number of days is taken by them to complete the same task (work) = 600/79 days.
