If this engine is only thermal, such an efficiency is theoretical impossible.

The thermal cycle can’t have a higher efficiency than the Carnot cycle operating between the same temperatures.

The latter has an efficiency of nearly 40%, moreover theoretical.

A real Carnot engine moreover would have quite less efficiency.

The alleged engine can’t have an efficiency of 45%.
