Given : An IQ test consists of 20 multiple choice questions. 3 points are awarded for a correct answer and 1 point is deducted for a wrong answer. No points are awarded or deducted for an unanswered question.

Raju attempted a total of 19 questions and his total score for the IQ test was above 32.

To Find :  Find the minimum number of correct answers he obtained .

Solution:

minimum number of correct answers he obtained . = x

marks obtained  = 3x

Wrong = 19 - x

Deducted = 19 - x

Marks obtained = 3x -( 19 - x )

=  4x - 19

4x - 19 > 32

=> 4x > 51

=> x >  51/4

Hence minimum 13   answers  correct
