An iron ball and a feather are both falling from the height of 10 m . What are the time taken by the iron ball and feather to reach the ground?​

Explanation:

  • Let us assume that the two objects are placed in a room where there is no air resistance and has a vacuum.
  • The two objects are placed at the same height.
  • Hence the time is calculated is follows:

S = 10m           μ= 0

S= μt +1/2g × t²

10 = 0 + 1/2 × 9.81 × t²

t² =20 ÷ 9.81

Calculating the square root:

t= 1.427 seconds

∵Keep in mind that we have assumed that we are neglecting air resistant and considering vacuum.
