An iron knife kept in a copper sulphate solution turns the solution light green why?
KumarJayant:
As cuso4 solution have blue in colour. whenever an iron (Fe) knife is kept in blue solution cuso4 it starts to react with it and (Fe) element is more reactive than Cu so it starts to displace cu from cuso4 solution due this reaction the blue solution of cuso4 turns into light green which shows that (Fe) reaction with Cuso4. .
