An iron nail was dipped in a blue colored solution in a beaker (image A). The set up was left

undisturbed for some time. The result obtained is shown in image B. Explain the change

observed with the help of a chemical equation.​

Answer:

When iron nail was dipped in a blue colored solution after some time a brown coating of copper is formed on the surface of iron and the solution changes in to green colour as iron is more reactive than copper.

Fe + Cuso4 ------> FeSo4 + Cu
