An iron pipe 20 cm long has exterior diameter equal to 14 cm.if the thickness of the pipe is 1 cm,find the whole surface area of the pipe.

ecterior dia= 14cm

radius= 7 cm

thickness=1cm

then interior radius= 7-1= 6 cm

while surface area of pipe =2πRh+ 2πrh + 2π [R^2 _ r^2]

2πh (R+r) + 2π ( R^2+ r^2)

2× 3.14×20 (7+6)+2×3.14(49+36)

(2×3.14×20×13)+(2×3.14×85)

1632.8+ 533.8

2166.6sq cm
