An iron ring has a cross-sectional area of and mean a diameter
of 25cm. It is wound with 500 turns. If the value of relative
permeability is 250, find the total flux set up in the ring. The coil
resistance is 474 ohm and the supply voltage is 240 V.

Explantion:-

Mean diameter of the iron ring ,d=25 cm

                                                       =0.25 m

no of turns ,n=500

Relative permeability ∈_{r} =250

Resistance of the coil ,R =474 ohm

voltage ,V  = 240 V

now firstly we have to find magnetisation feild intensity,

           H =N × I

               = 500÷πd ×V/R                     {I=V/R}

              = 500/πD × 240/474

Now we have to calculate total flux with the help of magnetisationfeild intensity

             B=∈ H

               =∈_{r}_{0} H

               =4π×10^-7×250×500/π(0.25)×240/474

               = 1.01×10

SO I HOPE THIS ANSWER WILL HELP YOU.
