an iron ring of mean circumference of 0.8 metre is uniformly found with 500 turns of wire when a current of 1A is passed through the coil, a flux density of 1.1T is produced in the iron. Find the permeability of the Iron under given conditions

Permeability is defined as the ratio of the  magnetic induction( flux density) to the magnetic field.

Formula : μ = Β/Η  where μ = permeablitiy , B = magnetic flux density , H = magnetizing field.

H = N*I / L where N = number of turns , I = current , L = length

As the circumference is given it indicates the length

H = 500 × 1  / 0.8 = 625 A/T        (1)

μ = 625 / 1.1  ( from given and eqn (1))

μ = 568.181 H / m
