Iron salt A is Ferrous Sulphate (feso4) and Iron salt B is Ferric Sulphate fe2(so4)3.

Given:

• iron salt A reacts with Naoh to give green precipitate.

• iron salt B reacts with Naoh to give brown precipitate.

Reaction for iron salt A is

FeSo4 + Naoh -> Fe(OH)2 + Na2So4

Reaction for iron salt B is

Fe2(SO4)3 + Naoh-> Fe(OH)3 + Na2SO4

The reason for green precipitate is the compound Fe(OH)2 and for the brown precipitate it is Fe(OH)3
