Given,

Mass of the solid material = 35 gm

Length of the solid = 10 cm

Breadth of the solid = 8 cm

The thickness of the solid = 5 cm

To Find,

The mass density of the metal.

Solution,

The formula for calculating the density of any material is

Density = Mass/Volume

Mass of the metal = 35 gms.

The volume of the metal = l*b*h

The volume of the metal = 10*8*5 = 400 cm³

Now,

Density = 35/400 = 0.0875 gm/cm³.

Hence, the density of the metal is 0.0875 gm/cm³.
