An isoaceles triangle is such that each of the base angles is twice the vertical angle. Find the angles of the triangle.

Let the triangle be ∆PQR

Let the vertical angle be y.
Then both the base angles will be 2y respectively.
Sum of the three angles of a triangle is 180°

Therefore,
y+2y+2y = 180°
or 5y = 180°
or y = 180°/5
or y = 36°

Hence, the three angles are -
Vertical angle (y) = 36°
Base angles (2y) = 36°×2 = 72°
