AC = hypotenuse = y
i ) Area of ∆ABC = 200 cm²
=> (base×height)/2 = 200
=>( x *x )/2 = 200
=> x² = 400
=> x = √400
=> x = 20 cm
ii ) In ∆ABC ,
AC² = AB² + BC²
=> AC² = x²+x²
=> y² = 2x²
=> y² = 2×(20)²
=> y = √2×(20)²
=> y = 20√2 cm
Therefore,
Hypotenuse (y) = 20√2 cm
