ANSWER = √8

Let height of triangle = h

As the triangle is isosceles,

Let base = height =h

According to the question, Area of triangle = 2cm²

 ⇒ 1/2 ×Base×Height=2

⇒ 1/2 ×h×h=2

⇒ h²= 4

⇒h = 2cm

Base = Height = 2cm

Since the triangle is right angled,

hypotenues²= b²+ h²

hypotenuse²= 2²+2²

hypotenue²= 8

hyotenues = √8
