An Isosceles trapezium has its parallel ides to be 15cm and 23cm, if its perimeter is 88cm. Find one of the equal sides.

Answer :

Let the length of common side be x.

Perimeter = sum of all sides = 15 + 23 + x +x

It is given that the perimeter is 88 cm.

Therefore 88 = 38 + 2x

2x = 50

x = 25 cm

Therefore the length of the one of the equal sides is 25 cm
