an isosceles trapezium has two parallel sides 60m and 40m .if the perimeter of this trapezium is 160m , state the length of the other two sides?

Let,

in trap.ABCD

AB= DC (as per question)

perimeter of trap. ABCD = AB +BC+DC+DA

160= AB+DA+2DC. -----( given)

160=60+40 + 2DC

160-100 = 2DC

60 = 2DC

so, DC = 30m

hence, AB=DC= 30m
