Given : An isosceles trapezoid has bases of 12 and 18 cm. the measure of the angles are in a ratio 2:2:3:3

To Find :   area

Solution:

Angles are  2x , 2x , 3x , 3x

2x + 2x + 3x + 3x = 360°

=> 10x = 360°

=> x =36°

=> angles are  72° , 72° , 108° , 108°

Base 18 cm and 12  cm

let say height = h

=> tan 72° = h / ( 18 - 12)/2

=>  tan 72° = h/3

=> => h = 9.233

area   = (1/2) * ( 12 + 18) * 9.233

=> Area =  138.5  cm²
