To find : area of the triangle

Given :  isosceles triangle has a base 6 cm long and one of the equal sides is 5 cm long.

  • As per given data isosceles triangle has a base 6 cm long and one of the equal sides is 5 cm long.
  • Area of triangle is given by ,

      Area of triangle = \frac{1}{2}\times base \times height

  • Substituting the values in above formula we find area

      Area of triangle = \frac{1}{2} \times 6 \times 5

                                 = 3\times 5 \\= 15\ cm ^{2}

Hence , area of triangle is given by 15\ cm^{2} .
