An isosceles triangle has an 80° top angle and two 11-cm sides. Calculate the angle measure of the base angles.

angle 1 = 80°

angle 2 = angle 3 = x

x + x + 80 = 180 (sum of angles of triangle is 180°)

2x = 100

x = 50°

so each base angle is of 50°
