an isosceles triangle has base 6 and long and one of equal side is 5 cm long find the area of triangle

\huge\mathbb{\underline{\purple{SOLUTION:-}}}

\large\sf{\red{Given:-}}

It's an isosceles triangle in which two sides are equal

Two equal sides are 5 cm

and one side 6cm

Now According to question we have to find the area of triangle we can find this by heron's Formula

\sf\large \sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

where the value of s=\sf\frac{a+b+c}{2}

\large\boxed{\sf{Solution}}

a =5cm,

b=5cm

c=6cm

\sf\large \sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

s =\sf \frac{5+5+6}{2}= \frac{\cancel16}{\cancel2}=8

the value of s =8

Area=\sf\longrightarrow \sqrt{8(8-5)(8-5)(8-6)}

\sf\longrightarrow Area = \sqrt{8×3×3×2}\\ \sf\longrightarrow Area= \sqrt{24×6}\\ \sf\longrightarrow Area = \sqrt{144}\\ \sf\longrightarrow Area\:of\: triangle=12cm{}^{2}

\sf\boxed{\underline{\red{AREA\:of\: triangle=12cm{}^{2}}}}
