hiii!!!

here's Ur answer...

given the Length of the equal sides of the isosceles triangle is 12cm.

let the sides of the isosceles triangle be a, b and c

equal sides of the isosceles triangle be a and b and unequal one be c.

perimeter of the isosceles triangle is given = 30cm

therefore a + b + c = 30cm

==> 12 + 12 + c = 30cm

==> 24 + c = 30cm

==> c = 30 - 24

==> c = 6cm

therefore the third side of the isosceles triangle is 6cm.

s (semi-perimeter) of the triangle = 30/2

= 15cm

area of the triangle by Heron's formula :-

= √[s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)]

= √[15(15-12)(15-12)(15-6)]

= √(15×3×3×9)

= √1215

= 9√15cm²

hope this helps..!!
