An isosceles triangle has vertices at (-5, 4), (2, 4) and (-1.5, -3.5). Each of its two congruent sides are 8.3 units long. Calculate both the area and perimeter of the triangle. Explain or show you got your answers.

Area= 1/2 * base* height
= 1/2 * 7*7
= 49/2 = 24.5 square units
