Given:-

  • M.P ( Market price) = Rs. 800.
  • S.P ( Selling price) = Rs. 640.

To find:-

  • Discount percent.

Solution:-

We know that,

Discount % = Discount/M.P × 100

Discount = M.P - S.P

= 800 - 640

= 160

Discount = Rs. 160.

Put , M.P and discount in discount% formula,

 \implies  \sf \: Discount\: Percent \:  =  \: \frac{160}{800} \times 100

 \implies \sf \: Discount\: Percent \:  =  \frac{160}{8}

 \implies \sf \: Discount \: Percent \:  = 20

Therefore,

Discount percent is 20%.
