Given, marked price = 840

            selling price = 714

We know that Discount = MP - SP

                                        = 840 - 714

                                        = 126.

                          Discount% = 126/840 * 100

                                              = 15%.

Hope this helps!

M. P=840
S.P.=714
Discount =840-714=126
Discount %=d
SP=MP - d% of MP
714=840-d/100*840
D/100*840=126
D=126*100/840
D%=15%
