GIVEN :-

  • Mass of object ( m ) = 5 kg.
  • Initial velocity ( u ) = 10 m/s.
  • Final velocity ( v ) = 10 m/s.

TO FIND :-

  • The resultant Force ( F ).

SOLUTION :-

As we know that the formula for acceleration is given by,

 \\ :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \:Acceleration = \dfrac{v - u}{t} \\  \\  \\

:   \implies \displaystyle \sf \:Acceleration = \frac{10 \:  - 10}{t}  \\  \\  \\

:   \implies \displaystyle \sf \:Acceleration = \frac{0}{ t}  \\  \\  \\

:   \implies  \underline{ \boxed{\displaystyle \sf \:Acceleration =0 \: ms ^{ - 2} }} \\  \\

Now , On applying the formula of force we get,

 \\ :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \:Force = mass  \times Acceleration \\  \\  \\

 :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \:Force =5 \: kg \times 0 \: ms ^{ - 2}  \\  \\  \\

 :   \implies \displaystyle \sf \:Force =0 \: kg.ms ^{ - 2}  \\  \\  \\

 :   \implies \underline{ \boxed{ \displaystyle \sf \bold{ \:Force =0 \: Newton}}}

Given : An  object of 5 kg is moving in a straight line with a uniform speed of 10 metre per second

To Find : the resultant force on the object

Solution:

mass = 5 kg

moving in a straight line with a uniform speed of 10 metre per second

Hence constant velocity of 10 m/s

acceleration   a= dv/dt

v = Velocity is constant

Hence a = 0

acceleration is rate of change of velocity,  as velocity is constant of rate of change of velocity is zero

so acceleration is zero

a = 0

m = 5 kg

F = ma

F = Force

F = 5 * 0  = 0

resultant force on the object is 0 N

or No force

Note : Air resistance / friction  is assumed zero here
