Answer:

Explanation:

The properties of the image is virtual,diminished,errect

1/u+1/v=1/f

-1/10+1/v=1/15

1/v=3+2/30

1/v=1/6

v=6

According to the linear magnification

Height of the image/Height of the object

-6/10

.6

Again

.6=Height of the image/5

Height of the image is 3.0cm that is 3cm

Answer:

image formed is virtual,erect and diminished

Explanation:

Given:-

object height,h=10cm

object distance,u=-30cm

radius of curvature,R=50cm

focal length,f=R/2=50/2=25cm

mirror formula:-

1/f=1/v+1/u

1/25=-1/30+1/v

1/v=1/25+1/30

1/v=6+5/150

1/v=11/150

v=150/11

v=13.6cm

Therefore image is formed at a distance of 13.6cm behind the convex mirror. Thus it is Virtual and Erect.

m=-v/u

m=-13.6/-30

m=0.45

Again,

m=h`/h

0.45= h`/10

h`= 4cm

Therefore image formed is diminished
