given,
height of object : 2cm
height of image : 3cm
object distance : 16cm
we know that,
-v/u = hi/ho
-v/-16 = 3/2
-v = -24cm
v = 24cm
from,
1/f = 1/v + 1/u
1/f = (-1/24)+(-1/16)
1/f = -1/4(1/6+1/4)
1/f = -1/4(10/24)
1/f = -5/48
f = -48/5
minus indicate on same side object
