an object 2cm high is placed at a distance of 16cm from a concave mirror , which produce 3cm high inverted image what is the focal length of the mirror ? also, find the position of the image .​

  • Given that

ho = 2 cm

u = -16 cm

v = -3 cm

position of the image

m = hi/ho v/u

which is

hi/2 = -(-3)/16

----> Hi= 2×16/3

= 10.67 cm

Mirror formula = 1/f = 1/u+1/v
