Answer:

O = 4 cm

u = 6 cm

f = 12 cm

1/f = 1/v–1/u

1/12 = 1/v–1/6

1/v = 1/12+1/6

1/v = 1/12+2/12

1/v = 3/12

So, v = 12/3 = 4 cm

But u, v and f are negative in case of a concave mirror.

Therefore, v = – 4 cm

m = v/u = I/O

v/u = I/O

–4/–6 = I/4

4/6 = I/4

4/6 * 4 = I

I = 16/6

=2.66 cm

Nature of the image:

1) Virtual

2) Erect

3) Diminished.

Hope it is clear.
