Answer:

20 cm

Explanation:

length of the object(O)=6 cm

length of the image(I)= -3 cm

image distance(v) = 30 cm

object distance(u)=?

from the relation

I/O=v/u

-3/6=30/u

u=-60 cm

to find focal length(f)

1/f=1/v - 1/u

1/f= 1/30 - 1/-60

1/f = (-60-30)/-1800

1/f = -90/-1800

1/f=1/20

f=20 cm
