Speed of object A = 5 m/s
Speed of object B = 10 m/s
We have to find distance between them after 10s
★ In order to find separation between both objects after 10s, we have to find distance covered by each object in 10s.
Let A and B start their journey from origin.
We know that speed is defined as the ratio of distance travelled to the time taken.
- v = d / t
Distance covered by object A :
➠ d₁ = v₁ × t
➠ d₁ = 5 × 10
➠ d₁ = 50 m
Distance covered by object B :
➠ d₂ = v₂ × t
➠ d₂ = 10 × 10
➠ d₂ = 100 m
Separation between A and B :
➠ ∆d = d₂ - d₁
➠ ∆d = 100 - 50
➠ ∆d = 50 m
∴ Distance between object A and B after 10 s will be 50m.
