Answer:

Given, a= 5 m/s2

F= 20 N

F= ma

20= m*5

m=4 kg

The mass of the object is 4 kg.

The mass of the object is 4 kg.

GIVEN

Acceleration of the object = 5.0 m/s²

Force exerted on the object = 20.0 N

TO FIND

The mass of the object.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

According to newton's second law of motion

F = ma

Where,

F = Magnitude of force exerted on the body. = 20N

m = mass of the object

a = acceleration on the object = 5.0 m/s²

Putting the values in the above formula we get,

20 = 5m

Dividing the whole equation by 5

20/5 = 5m/5

4 = m

Hence, The mass of the object is 4 kg.
