v = 1m/s
t = 4seconds
Acceleration = v-u/t
= 0- -1/4
= 1/4 = 0.25m/s²
Now we can substitute the values
s = ut + 1/2at²
= 0 × 4 + 1/2 × 0.25 × 4²
= 0 + 1/2 × 0.25 × 16
= 0 + 1 × 0.25 × 8
=0.25 × 8
= 2 m
Distance travelled = 2m
