An object at the distance of 10cm from a convex lens of focal length 12cm . Find the position and nature image .

Given: u= -10cm

f= 12cm

By lens formula

1/v - 1/u = 1/f

By putting the values of u and f we get

v= -60cm

The image is formed 60 cm from the lens.

Image is virtual and erect.
