an object covers 20 metre distance in 5 second in East direction and then feim there 20 metre distance in 4 second i west directin. calculate average velocity of the object.​

Answer:

Average speed = (speed in 1st interval + speed in 2nd interval) ÷ 2

We know that ,

Speed = distance/time.

Speed of object in 1st interval = 20/4 = 5 m/s

Speed of object in 2nd interval = 20/10 = 2 m/s

Average speed = (5+2)/2 = 3.5 m/s
