An object covers 40 km in first 1/2 hour and 80 km in next 1/2 hour. Calculate its average speed. Plz say it in detail with process

avg. \: speed =  \frac{total \: distance}{total \: time}

 =  \frac{40 + 80}{ \frac{1}{2} +  \frac{1}{2}  } = 120 \: kmph

Avg. Speed = 120 kmph.
