Given :-
◉ An object is dropped from a cliff falls with a constant acceleration a, a = 10 m/s²
To Find :-
◉ Speed after time t after it was dropped, t = 5s
Solution :-
Here, The acceleration is constant and the initial velocity is 0 m/s , Therefore, using first equation of motion we have,
⇒ v = u + at
⇒ v = 0 + 10 × 5
⇒ v = 50 m/s
Hence, The speed of the object after 5 seconds after falling would be 50 m/s.
Some Information :-
☛ Equations of motion works when the acceleration is constant for the whole time.
- s = ut + 1/2 at²
- 2as = v² - u²
Where, a = acceleration, v = final velocity, u = initial velocity, t = time taken, s = displacement
