if the net force is 0 the object will not move.
Newton 1st law of motion states that an object will remain at rest or at motion when no external force is applied on the object

yes it is possible that when there is no net external force, and the body is moving in a straight line.
as we know that if there is a balanced force on any object, it's shape and configuration can change, but but but it will try to be in it's original position, may be at rest or if the body is in motion.
remember that balanced force means that net force acting on a body is zero
