moon has no atmosphere or air while earth has atmosphere .

the presence of atmosphere increases the buoyancy

here d is density of liquid
here g is acceleration due to gravity
SINCE g On earth is 6 times greater than acceleration due to gravity on moon.So buoyant force is high on earth
