The fallen velocity at any time has the relationship through the height of travel as V²=2gH.As per the question doubling its velocity makes as 2V so new distance traveled through being H' makes (2V)²=2gH’=>4V²=2gH’

=>H'=2V²/g=2×2gH/g=4H=>further falling distance to be 4H-H=3H.
