An object forms a virtual image which is l/8th of the size of the object. If the
object is placed at a distance of 40cm from the convex mirror, calculate: (i) the
position of the image, (ii) the focal length of the convex mirror.

m = -V/u = 1/8

u = -40

V/40 = 1/8

v = +5cm

mirror Formula

1/v + 1/u = 1/f

V = +5

u = -40

f = 40/7 cm
