an object goes from a point p to q with a velocity 40 km/hr and returns from q to p with a velocity 50 km/hr. find the average velocity of the object.

The velocity will be 0. This is because velocity = displacement / time but in this case, displacement is zero for the object is still at p. So there is no average velocity as average displacement is 0.
