Displacement is the measure of shortest distance possible between starting point and destination point,in our case clearly starting point and ending point is the same point,therefore displacement is zero.
As average velocity is defined as the ratio of displacement to the time,therfore avg velocity is also zero.

X to Y and Y to X it’s displacement is zero because it’s initial position is X and final position is Y than travel it return the same line from Y to X.
XY +(-YX)=0
XY +(-YX)=0
