an object has moved throug a distance .can it have zero displacement ? if yes ,support your answer with an example...

If an object has moved through a distance and come back to its intial point then the displacement will be zero.

But here..the object does not back to it's intial position so the displacement will not be zero.

Yes

An object can have zero displacement even if it has moved through a distance.

EXAMPLE :

An object started from position A and moved to position B that is 20 metres apart from it. Then, Again the object, from B moved to A. Now, the object is in position A, the initial position.

# Thus, in this case, the displacement is zero but the distance is forty metres ( 20 + 20 )
