An object has moved through a distance.Can it have zero displacement? Explain by an example

yes it can have zero displacement if it returns at the poind where it started because displacement is has 2 values the point where it started and where will it end.

Distance is the total length of the path a body moves on .

Displacement is the Shortest path between the final point and the initial point of the particles motion .

yes , if the particle at last , comes to where it started then the displacement will be zero .

For example : A body moving in a circular path , Starts at point A , and finally comes to rest at A .
the body will have zero displacement .
