yes indeed, let's assume a body moving in a circle, when the body completes one lap and reaches the position it was in initially, even tho the distance isn't 0, the displacement is. since displacement is the shortest distance from point A to point B.

yes it is right. for example you start walk from your home after walking 1 km you come back at home their you travel 2 km ( 1km going and 1 km in return time) distance but displacement is 0
